Overview

PURPOSE STATEMENT: 

Responsible for maintaining patient spending accounts, completing admission and discharge set ups, maintaining files for audits and Medicaid/Social Security packets. 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Provide strong customer service. 
  • Receive and enter all deposits to patient spending accounts.
  • ​Record all purchase transactions for patient spending accounts.  
  • ​Maintain patient files.
  • ​Reconcile Patient Trust and Bank Accounts
  • ​Generate Admit documents and process Admits in Medhost.
  • ​Process discharges in Medhost. 
  • ​Work with Medicaid and Social Security on applications and renewal packets. 
  • ​Work With Patient Trust Auditors
  • ​Census report generation and compilation.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:  

  • Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent Required.   
  • Knowledge of medical billing/collections experience Required. 
  • Excel Spreadsheet Usage and Creation Required
  • Math and Bookkeeping and basic accounting knowledge required.
  • Banking or Cash handling experience Required.
