Overview

PURPOSE STATEMENT: 

Seven Hills Hospital is a growing, private, 134-bed psychiatric hospital that is dedicated to providing high-quality care for adults, geriatrics, and adolescents (ages 5-17) who are suffering from behavioral health and chemical dependency issues. Our patients recover at our new, state-of-the art medical facility in the Seven Hills area of Henderson, Nevada. Henderson is one of the fastest growing cities in the US and is located just 7 miles from the famed Las Vegas Strip and a couple of miles from beautiful Lake Mead.

 

Seven Hills Hospital is part of the Acadia Healthcare, a provider of behavioral healthcare services throughout the US.

Plan, organize and supervise the facility’s financial support function(s), to ensure industry standards, as well as company policy and procedures are followed. 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Responsible for the complete flow of the business functions of the department(s) including proper recording of payments, changes and write-offs, proper methods of collections, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of financial documents and reporting. 
  • Provide staff management to include hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation. 
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. 
  • Resolve difficult issues and complaints originating from any internal or external source.  
  • Responsible for implementing departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal statues, hospital and accrediting agency regulations.  
  • Maintain knowledge of payer-specific rules and regulations regarding billing and payment for facility and professional services.  
  • Check accuracy of business transactions recorded by others.  
  • Manage department financial operations. 
  • Analyze financial records or reports to determine state of operations and to improve financial management. 
  • Prepare financial documents, reports or budgets, as directed. 
  • Monitor flow of cash or other resources.  

OTHER FUNCTIONS:  

  • Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field required  
  • Four or more years related experience/knowledge of managed care, commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid required
