PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy patient care environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform cleaning duties safely and in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations or law.
Follow organization policy and procedures in order to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies, using appropriate processes and germicides for cleaning equipment.
Other housekeeping duties, such as move and arrange furniture, turn mattresses, clean kitchens, cooking utensils, silverware, sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors, as needed.
Launder soiled linens as directed.
Maintain adequate cleaning supplies for department/unit uses. Properly clean and store all equipment and supplies after each shift.
Routinely practice infection control measures. Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations and furniture for facility.
May oversee the day-to-day operation of housekeeping for facility.
May be responsible for stocking of supplies.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
One or more years’ housekeeping experience in a commercial, clinic or healthcare environment required.
Previous Lead experience preferred.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
HOUSEKEEPER LEAD 1/1/2020
Valid state driver's license, where required in a facility.
CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
