East Tennessee Behavioral Health is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Risk Management to lead our facility's risk management efforts and ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. In this leadership role, you will oversee the implementation of a comprehensive risk management program, collaborate with multiple departments to assess and mitigate risks, and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization. The Risk Director will lead incident investigations, manage compliance with regulations, and develop proactive strategies to prevent harm and potential liabilities.
East Tennessee Behavioral Health is a 90-bed inpatient treatment center serving Knoxville, Tennessee, and the surrounding communities. We provide the highest-quality care for people who have mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorder and those who have co-occurring addictions. The acute inpatient treatment we offer supports adolescents, adults, and senior adults, while our outpatient programming serves adults age 18 and older.
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Plan, organize, direct, and oversee all aspects of risk management activities. Promote a safe environment for the protection of patients, clients, employees, and visitors to the facility in such a manner as to comply with laws, regulations, and regulatory agencies. Identify risks that could potentially result in harm to patients, staff or visitors or lead to litigation or negative media or various forms of loss.
