12:00pm - 8:00 pm (mid-day shift)

No weekends

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Maintain the operation of receiving and distributing all hospital equipment and supplies

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Receive and distribute all incoming supplies and equipment. Completes paperwork by obtaining authorized department signatures.
  • Stock central storeroom rotating stock. Also, stock nursing unit supply rooms. Make sure all chargeable items are tagged.
  • Maintain adequate inventory level of at least two weeks supply. Forward supply requisitions to Materials Management as needed.
  • Maintain the copy room supplies, keeping sufficient stock of paper, toner and supplies for copiers and fax machines.
  • Responsible for all medical equipment sent out for repairs and recording. (As needed).
  • Ensure the proper document flow from other departments to Materials Management for purchase.
  • Coordinate and implement yearly inventory taking of all supplies.
  • Order, charge and return specialty beds.
  • Send patient charge cards to receptionist for batching.
  • Coordinate all outside vendor requests for patient care rental equipment (i.e. air mattresses, CEU units, etc.).
  • Maintain and record equipment provided to/or brought in by patients for personal uses following safety check maintenance policies

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

 

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

Valid state driver's license
