PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Under general direction, implement menus and coordinate food preparation and serve meals.

Located in one of the most picturesque settings in Northern California, Bayside Marin is a rehabilitation treatment center near San Francisco in San Rafael. Our Mountainside property offers vast, panoramic bayside vistas, while residences are nestled calmly in the forest hillside overlooking a picturesque valley. We are seeking a candidate that will fit well within the world-class treatment team at Bayside Marin. This particular position is responsible for oversight and direction of the Milieu and all milieu direct care staff.

Compensation for roles at Bayside Marin varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Bayside Marin provides a reasonable hourly range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California as set forth below.

Role Location: California

Calculated Hourly Range for role -- California: $25.00 per hour to $29.00 per hour.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Cook and prepare food according to approved menus.

· Direct activities of workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.

· Clean and inspect equipment, kitchen appliances and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.

· Take inventory of supplies and equipment.

· Work with Food Service leadership or Dietitian to ensure menus are varied, nutritionally balanced and appetizing.

· Perform and coordinate food production, cleaning, maintenance, and inventory control activities.

· Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, quality standards, cost parameters, and appropriate regulatory requirements.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

· Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

· Additional education or training in the culinary field preferred.

· Two or more years’ experience in food service role in preparing food for institutions, such as school, hospital or cafeteria preferred.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

· ServSafe Certification or similar food safety certification, where required by the state, facility.
