We are unique in that we offer on-site medical and psychiatric management and care combined with intensive individualized psychotherapy, making our center of excellence a great alternative to traditional hospital settings.  We integrate personalized nutritional support and best practices treatment in a real-life, comfortable setting. Our state-of-the-art eating disorder treatment programs and setting are designed to create an environment of structure and support for restorative treatment.

Our eating disorder treatment programs in St. Louis, Missouri and Kansas City, Kansas provide a continuum of care, specialized to provide the right level of support to optimize recovery. Many start with our 24 hour Residential or our signature Extended 10 hour Partial Hospital offered 7 days per week. For those with significant outside support or feeding structure at meals, for optimal recovery we also provide traditional 6 hour Partial Hospital Program and 2 different types of Intensive Outpatient Program. Transitional Living is available for those from out of town to take advantage of our step-down options. Transitional Living has staff support 7 days per week. Family programming and Outpatient Services round out our continuum of care.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Provides individual therapy sessions with assigned adolescent and adult patients.
  • Partners with clients to identify and resolve complex or sensitive issues as related to their eating disorder.
  • Eagerly engages clients in identifying issues, options, and desired outcomes. Develops a clear picture of the needs and best options from the client’s perspective.
  • Maintains a schedule for sessions and meets with patients at frequency indicated by their current level of care.
  • Establishes a therapeutic relationship with patients, including rapport, therapeutic boundaries, and a working alliance towards treatment goals.
  • Displays theoretical knowledge of CBT, DBT and family based therapies.
  • Consistently uses psychotherapeutic framework to conceptualize patient’s struggles and to provide treatment.
  • Assists patients in setting and meeting treatment goals and identifying appropriate coping skills
  • Provide family therapy for assigned patients. Promotes cooperation and commitment to achieving treatment goals. Builds a constructive working relationships characterized by a high level of acceptance, cooperation and commitment to coordinating current and ongoing treatment.
  • Meets with families of adolescent patients a minimum of weekly, and meets with families of adults patients every other week or as clinically indicated.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by Leadership
  • Participate in administrative on-call

Qualifications

Experience and Qualifications:

 

·        Master’s in human services field.

·        Licensed to provide clinical services (LPC, LCSW).

·        Experience with adolescents, adults and eating disorders.

·        Experience in cognitive, expressive or psycho educational

therapies.

·        CPR and First Aid Certification required.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication.

·        Crisis intervention and problem solving skills.

·        Annual Tuberculosis test required. Initial screening due within 14 days of hire.
