Overview

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Perform general clerical duties in accordance with the office procedures of the facility.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for handling general administrative duties.
  • Keep track of inventory and work with supply vendors to ensure a well-stocked office.
  • Answer and transfer telephone calls or take messages.
  • Copy, file and update paper and electronic documents.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments for the in-house psychiatric provider
  • Arrange and manage external appointments with outside healthcare providers
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient schedules
  • Monitor compliance for dual-diagnosis patients, ensuring all required appointments are scheduled and completed within appropriate timeframes
  • Track and document patient attendance and follow-up needs
  • Communicate with patients, providers, and care teams regarding scheduling and changes
  • Ensure all scheduling aligns with clinical guidelines and compliance requirements
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies

 

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
